Common questions

Understand the boundary before deployment.

Can I inspect and modify the source?

Yes. BUSL-1.1 permits inspection, copying, modification, derivative works, redistribution, and non-production evaluation under its terms.

Can I deploy it in production for free?

Not before the applicable Change Date. Every production deployment requires a separate commercial license unless the current license says otherwise.

What is the stated Change Date?

The initial licensed version states 6 August 2030 and Apache License 2.0 as its Change License. The full LICENSE controls how the applicable Change Date is determined, and later versions may have different parameters.

Does a commercial licence include hosting or support?

Not automatically. Hosting, support, maintenance, and other commercial terms are defined only in a separately executed agreement.

Need production rights?

Commercial pricing and operational terms are provided separately after a fit discussion.
